Bonzo needs to get over that obsession, when's the last night Fett tried to hurt him? Seriously.
Pet is a bit hesitant as she steps farther into the room. Automatically her eyes scan the room for weapons and things-that-can-hurt-her. She assumes the saber is nearby. No big deal.
"I was wondering if, ah," she makes her face as she puts that non-word in, failing at confident already. "we could talk?"
Petra glances at the options available to her. The chair was closer to him, the bed probably less comfortable... but that's probably preferred. Petra sits on the edge of the bed, drawing her feet up to her chin.
It is noticeable that the door is still open... just slightly.
The silence stretches for a moment before, "I'm not sure how to start now."
"Who would you tell?" That thought doesn't seem to phase her.
But, after another long pause she sighs. "It goes pretty far back.... in some ways, I wish I'd never come to the bar. Then things would have stayed more sane. Back when..." she has to stop, and physically force herself to keep going, "Achilles first had me, it was much more simple. I passed his test.... got out a message when no one else did. But then I escaped, ended up in that snowstorm..." Petra keeps talking, and she's talking for a long time. First about how 'Petra' died,
"My name is Lara there," The name feels strange.
Her tale twists, telling how she led a doublt life, on one hand, viewed as he who will not be named because he's not /my/ character mistress, and the other one of his top military leaders. Then Achilles, their in-bar encounters, and later, her own encounters with him. What really happened when he had her the second time, when he didn't need her for anything but revenge. Serena's healing her, and the implications behind that. (aka, slight female attraction), then getting over it.
"I don't even know what happened to her after that, it was like she disappeared."
Her business dealings with Fett, "He was the ideal soldier, the ideal assassin when I needed someone I could trust. And as long as I can afford him... he is what I needed." The bar finally causing her to be bound. Then finally...
"I couldn't... get near to anyone. I'd start a conversation, but I could never trust anyone. Not even you. Fett was business, I'll never fool myself into thinking I can trust him any farther then I can pay him. If I pushed everyone away though... I could almost live with myself, or at least convince myself that it didn't matter what happened to me. Then that damned labyrinth..."
It is here where she finally falls silent. She's been talking for a good hour.
There's a bit of silence there. Then Pet sighs, and relaxes just a bit. For the first time since coming into the room, she actually looks at Bonzo.
"I caught a break recently, the dreams, at least the bad ones, have stopped." Her eyes flicker to the ball standing on the desk, but then back to Bonzo. "And I guess... I finally figured you should know."
